Bears Sign DT Eddie Goldman To Four-Year, $42M+ Extension

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Bears and DT Eddie Goldman have agreed to a four-year contract extension on Friday worth over $42 million that includes $25 millionĀ guaranteed.

Goldman is now among the highest-paid interior defensive linemen in the NFL.

Goldman, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Bears back in 2015. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $5.686 million contract that included $3.524 million guaranteed and was set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.

Goldman was in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

In 2017, Goldman appeared in 15 games for the Bears and recorded 44 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery.
