Adam Schefter reports that the Bears are signing former Patriots WR/RB Cordarrelle Patterson to a two-year, $10 million contract.
The Packers and Ravens were also rumored to have interest in Patterson, but it appears the Bears had the best offer in the end.
Patterson, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Vikings back in 2013. He played out his rookie contract with the Vikings, but they declined to pick up his fifth-year option, which allowed him to sign a free agent deal with the Raiders in 2017.
Patterson was later traded to the Patriots and played out the final year of his two-year, $8.5 million contract.
In 2018, Patterson appeared in 15 games for the Patriots and caught 21 passes for 247 yards receiving and three touchdowns while rushing for 228 yards and a touchdown. He also contributed 663 kick return yards and a touchdown on special teams.
We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
