The Chicago Bears are trying out six veteran players during their rookie minicamp this weekend including CB Quinten Rollins, per Brad Biggs.
The full list of veteran tryouts includes:
- QB Peter Pujals
- QB Austin Allen
- CB Quinten Rollins
- G Jordan McCray
- DL Will Clarke
- WR Jonah Trinnaman
Rollins, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Packers back in 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $3.743 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $945,351 for the 2018 season.
The Packers waived Rollins with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers. Green Bay waived him with an injury settlement soon after.
The Cardinals signed Rollins to a contract last year but was waived soon after.
In 2017, Rollins appeared in six games for the Packers and recorded 19 tackles, no interceptions, two fumble recoveries and two pass defenses.
Clarke, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2,820,380 contract and set to make a base salary of $700,000 when the Bengals elected to cut him loose last year as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.
The Buccaneers later signed Clake to a contract at the start of the season and brought him back on a new contract this last year. He was on and off of their roster before eventually being cut loose in October.
In 2018, Clarke appeared in three games for the Buccaneers but hasn’t recorded a statistic.
