Bears Worked Out Three WRs Including Philly Brown & Aaron Dobson

According to Howard Balzer, the Browns brought in three receivers for tryouts on Monday including Philly Brown, Aaron Dobson, and DeVier Posey.

Brown, 25, originally signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in May of 2014. Carolina declined to tender Brown an offer as a restricted free agent this offseason.

The Bills signed Brown to a one-year deal back in March but was waived coming out of the preseason. Buffalo recently re-signed Brown only to cut him loose last week.

In 2016, Browns appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers and recorded 27 receptions for 276 yards receiving 10.2 (YPC) and scored one touchdown.

Dobson, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Patriots back in 2013. He was in the final year of his four-year, $3.428 million rookie contract that included $1.173 million guaranteed when he was waived by the Patriots last year.

Dobson later signed on with the Lions and was on and off of their roster during the 2016 season.

The Cardinals signed him to a future/reserve contract this past March only to place him on injured reserve during the preseason. Arizona elected to waive Dobson with a settlement a few days later.

In 2015, Dobson appeared in eight games and caught 13 passes for 141 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
