Bengals Claim G Fred Johnson Off Waivers From Steelers

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Bengals have claimed G Fred Johnson off of waivers from the Steelers on Monday.

The Bengals could really use some offensive line help, so it makes sense that they would be looking to the waiver wire for potential additions.

Johnson, 22, wound up going undrafted out of Florida back in April. He later signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Steelers and managed to make the team’s 53-man roster.

However, the Steelers elected to waive Johnson this past weekend to make room for QB Paxton Lynch.
