Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Bengals RB Giovani Bernard is out 2-4 weeks with an MCL sprain.
The good news for Cincinnati is that RB Joe Mixon will return from injury this weekend and play against the Dolphins.
Bernard, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Bengals back in 2013. He played out his rookie contract before agreeing to a four-year, $16.6 million contract that included $5 million guaranteed with the Bengals in 2016.
Bernard stands to make base salaries of $3.1 million and $3.4 million over the final two years of the agreement.
In 2018, Bernard has appeared in four games for the Bengals and rushed for 155 yards on 34 carries (4.6 YPC) to go along with 14 receptions for 78 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
