Bengals Re-Signing DT Pat Sims, Waiving DT Josh Tupou

Jim Owczarski of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the Bengals are re-signing veteran DT Pat Sims on Tuesday.

The Bengals are expected to waive DT Josh Tupou  to make room for Sims.

In 2017, Sims has appeared in eight games for the Bengals and recorded 19 tackles and no sacks.

Sims, 31, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2008. He spent five years in Cincinnati before signing on with the Raiders in 2013.

Cincinnati later brought Sims back in 2015 and he has remained with the Bengals ever since.

The Bengals waived Sims last week to make room for LB Hardy Nickerson.

In 2017, Sims has appeared in eight games for the Bengals and recorded 19 tackles and no sacks.
