The Cincinnati Bengals brought in five CFL players for tryouts on Thursday, according to Howard Balzer, including LB Jackson Jeffcoat.
The full list of tryouts for the Bengals includes:
- LB Sam Eguavoen (SASK)
- LB Jackson Jeffcoat (WPG)
- LB Jameer Thurman (CALG)
- DE Avery Ellis (OTT)
- WR D’haquille Williams (EDM)
Jeffcoat, 28, originally signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in 2014. He lasted just a few months in Seattle before he was waived.
Jeffcoat was on and off of the Redskins’ roster for a few years before being claimed by the Browns in 2016. Unfortunately, he was unable to make the team elected to sign on with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2017.
During his two-year CFL career, Jeffcoat has recorded 57 tackles, 12 tackles, an interception and three forced fumbles over the course of 28 games.
