Bengals running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis had been withheld from the team’s final two preseason games due to a foot injury. However, it was only for precaution as Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said Green-Ellis will suit up on Sunday.
“Lewis said that had it been a regular-season game, Maualuga, Green-Ellis and Geathers could have played,” writesย Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer.
If Green-Ellis was healthy enough to play last week then his foot injury shouldn’t be of concern. Green-Ellis, who didn’t practice at all last week, is expected to practice throughout the week in preparation for the Bengals season opener against the Ravens on Monday night.
