Bills S Dukeย Williams thanked the team for an opportunityย and indicated he’s been placed on waivers.

This comes afterย Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported that the Bills are signing veteran Sย James Ihedigbo to a contract on Tuesday, so they would obviously need a roster spot, likely in the secondary.

Williams, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bills back in 2013. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.630 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Williams has appeared in nine games and recorded four tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense.

We’ll have more regarding Williams’ status with the team as the news is available.
