Bills Sign LB Julian Stanford

The Buffalo Bills announced Wednesday that they’ve signed linebacker Julian Stanford to a one-year deal.

Stanford, 27, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Wagner back in 2012. He lasted over a year in Jacksonville before joining the Lions during the 2013 season.

Stanford played briefly for the Buccaneers before signing on to the Jets’ practice squad and later returning on a future/reserve contract. He was waived a few weeks into the regular season and later added to the Jets’ practice squad before getting promoted to the active roster.

New York waived him with an injury designation but he later reverted to their injured reserve list. The Jets wound up cutting him loose but re-signed him a few days later.

In 2017, Stanford appeared in all 16 games for New York and recorded 20 total tackles.
