Bills Sign WR Greg Salas, Waive WR/KR Marcus Thigpen

The Buffalo Bills announced a number of roster moves on Tuesday including the signing of WR Greg Salas and the release of WR/KRย Marcus Thigpen.

Salas, 27, is a formerย fourth-round pick of the Rams back inย back in 2011. He lasted just a little over a year before he was traded to the Patriots in return for a seventh-round pick.

Since then, Salas has played for the Eagles and Jets before the Lions brought him in on a one-year contract back in May.ย Detroit wound up placing him on season-ending injured reserve with a knee injury and later releasing him with a settlement a few weeks into the season.

In 2014,ย Salas appeared in 10 games and caught eight passes for 167 yards and ran for 20 yards and a touchdown on one carry.

Thigpen, 29, originally signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana back in 2009. Since then, Thigpen has played for a number of teams including the Broncos, Dolphins, Patriots, Buccaneers, Bills and Colts.

The Raiders signedย Thigpen to a contractย earlier in November, but released him shortly afterwards.

This season, Thigpen has appeared in nineย ย games and totaled 330 kick return yards and 119ย punt return yards for the Bills.
