According to Mike Klis, Broncos CB Bryce Callahan will have a non-surgical procedure on his left foot and will be out for at least four more weeks.
Callahan has yet to play for Denver after signing with them in free agency this year to a three-year, $21 million deal. He had surgery this offseason to repair a broken foot suffered late last year and had the injury re-aggravated in practice this summer.
Callahan, 27, wound up signing on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Rice back in 2015. He was waived a few weeks into his rookie season and later signed him to the team’s practice squad before later being called up.
The Bears re-signed him on a one-year deal restricted deal in 2018 before allowing him to leave for Denver in free agency the following year.
In 2018, Callahan appeared in 13 games for the Bears and recorded 45 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions and six pass defenses. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 7 cornerback out of 112 qualifying players.
