ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Broncos are “optimistic” about RB Willis McGahee status for Thursday night game against the New York Jets.
McGahee was able to practice on Wednesday after suffering a hamstring injury last weekend. Lance Ball is next in line if McGahee is unable to go and should at the very least split carries with McGahee even if he plays on Thursday. The loss of Knowshon Moreno has left the Broncos pretty thin at running back but both McGahee and Ball fit their new offensive attack much better than Moreno who is better in the passing game.
We’ll have more updates leading up to Thursday’s game.
