Broncos Expected To Make A “Serious Attempt” To Re-Sign CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

Mike Klis of the Denver Post writes that the Broncos are likely to make a “serious attempt” to re-sign free agentย CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in the coming days now that they have parted ways with veteran CB Champ Bailey.

  • Klis mentions that Denver still needs to signย “at least two” cornerbacks in either the free agent market or the draft.
  • According to Klis, Rodgers-Cromartieย is expected to command as much asย $6 million to $7 million per season over the course of multiple seasons.

Ross Jones of FOX Sportsย previously reported that the Broncosย andย Rodgers-Cromartieย met at theย Scouting Combine to discuss an extension.

Rodgers-Cromartie is believed to be the Broncos top offseason priority, so we’ll have to see talks are able to progress this weekend.

Last year, he totaledย 31 tackles, three interceptions and a touchdown over the course of 15 games.ย We have Rodgers-Cromartie listed as the No.13 player in ourย Top 50 Free Agents list.
