Broncos Expected To Place DT Kevin Vickerson On Season-Ending IR

According to Mike Klis of theย Denver Post, theย Broncos are expected to place DT Kevin Vickerson on season-endingย injured reserve after heย dislocated his hip during Sunday’s loss to the Patriots.

Denver is expected to move forward with rookie DTย Sylvester Williams and Mitch Unrein taking overย Vickerson’s role on their defensive line.

Vickerson, 30, is in the final year of his contract with the Broncos and will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. In 11 games he totaledย 22 tackles and one sack for Denver.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated asย No. 61 qualifyingย defensive tackle. Overall, he is a much better run defender than an interior pass rusher.
