Broncos Expected To Place DT Kevin Vickerson On Season-Ending IR

According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, the Broncos are expected to place DT Kevin Vickerson on season-ending injured reserve after he dislocated his hip during Sunday’s loss to the Patriots.

Denver is expected to move forward with rookie DT Sylvester Williams and Mitch Unrein taking over Vickerson’s role on their defensive line.

Vickerson, 30, is in the final year of his contract with the Broncos and will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. In 11 games he totaled 22 tackles and one sack for Denver. Pro Football Focus has him rated as No. 61 qualifying defensive tackle. Overall, he is a much better run defender than an interior pass rusher.
