Mike Klis reports that the Broncos are using a second-round tender on RFA DL Shelby Harris.
The second-round tender will cost the Broncos $3.095 million for the 2019 season and ensure that they receive a second-round pick for him if they decline to match an offer he receives from another team.
Harris, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Raiders back in 2014. Heโs been on an off of their practice squad over the past two years but returned to the Raiders on a one-year, exclusive rights deal.
Unfortunately, the Raiders waived Harris after the 2016 draft and he had brief stints with the Jets and Cowboys before signing a futures deal with the Broncos for the 2017 season.
Denver brought Harris back last year on an exclusive rights contract.
In 2018, Harris appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos and recorded 39 tackles, 1.5 sacks, an interception and four pass defenses.
