Pro Football Talk reports thatย Broncos OLB DeMarcus Ware is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with an ulna fracture.
Broncos HC Gary Kubiak told reporters after the game that they will evaluate Ware’s injury on Monday and determine whether he needs surgery or not.
The Broncos had Ware on the non-football injury list during the preseason with a back injury, so his durability is something worth monitoring this season.
Ware, 34, agreed to a restructured contract with the Broncos back in March. He signed a one-year, $6.5 million contractย thatย included a $2 million signing bonus with another $3.5 million available inย incentives. Ware will make a base salary ofย $4 million for the 2016 season.
Entering today’s game, Ware had recorded three tackles and 1.5 sacks for the Broncos in their season-opener.
