Mike Klis reports that the Broncos are promoting DTย Tyrique Jarrett to their active roster on Monday to bolster their defensive line depth.
Jarrett, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Broncos cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.
During his four-year college career at Pittsburgh, Jarrett recorded 60 tackles, 8.5 tackles for a loss and three sacks over the course of 26 games.
