Broncos Re-Sign WR River Cracraft, Place WR Tim Patrick On IR

According to Ian Rapoport, the Broncos are re-signing WR River Cracraft on Wednesday.

Denver placed WR Tim Patrick on injured reserve in a corresponding move, per Mike Klis. Patrick has a chance to return from IR later this season depending on how he recovers from surgery to repair his broken hand.

Cracraft, 24, wound up signing on to the Broncos’ practice squad in 2017 as an undrafted free agent out of Washington State. He was released shortly after with an injury settlement but returned at the end of the season to the taxi squad.

Cracraft was released coming out of the preseason in 2018 and re-signed to the Broncos practice squad. He bounced on and off before finally being signed to the active roster in November.

In 2018, Cracraft appeared in eight games for the Broncos and caught one pass for 44 yards. He also added 43 kickoff return yards and 40 punt return yards.
