The Denver Broncos officially released DT Sylvester Williams on Friday.
Williams, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Broncos back in 2013. He played out the final year of his rookie contract after the Broncos declined to pick up his fifth-year option in 2017.
From there, Williams signed a three-year, $16.5 million contract with the Titans that included $7.25 million guaranteed. However, he was released the following year.
After brief stints with the Lions and Dolphins, Williams signed on with the Saints last year but was among their final roster cuts. The Chargers signed him in October and finished out 2019 with Los Angeles.
The Broncos signed Williams to their practice squad a few weeks ago and he’s been on and off of their roster this season.
