According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Broncos undrafted free agent TE Austin Fort suffered a torn ACL during Thursday’s preseason game against the Seahawks and is out for the season.
Fort was reportedly pushing for both a roster spot and playing time in the Broncos’ offense this season.
You can expect Denver to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.
Fort, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Wyoming back in May. He later agreed to a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Broncos.
During his college career at Wyoming, Fort caught 17 passes for 221 yards receiving and four touchdowns over the course of 10 games.
