Broncos Sign DE Malik Carney & S Tyvis Powell To Practice Squad


According to Nicki Jhabvala, the Broncos have signed DE Malik Carney and S Tyvis Powell to the practice squad. 

Here’s an updated look at Denver’s practice squad:

  2. DL Deyon Sizer
  3. CB Alijah Holder
  4. OL Quinn Bailey
  5. RB/KR Khalfani Muhammad
  6. C Corey Levin
  7. WR Trinity Benson
  8. WR Kelvin McKnight
  9. DE Malik Carney
  10. S Tyvis Powell

Powell, 25, signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State in 2016. He was in the first year of a three-year, $1.62 million contract when Seattle decided to waive him.

The Browns later claimed him off of waivers but cut him loose soon after. From there, Powell had brief stints with the Colts, Seahawks, 49ers, Jets and Texans before the Cowboys signed him to a contract. 

Dallas waived Powell with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to their injured reserve list. He was later released with a settlement

In 2018, Powell appeared in seven games for the 49ers and recorded six tackles and a forced fumble.
