Broncos Sign TE Richard Gordon, Waive TE Mitchell Henry

The Denver Broncos announced Wednesday that they’ve signed TE Richard Gordon to a contract and placed TE Mitchell Henry on waivers.

Gordon, 28, was taken in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Raiders. He spent two years with Oakland before he was waived and later caught on with the Steelers.

The Chiefs re-signed him as an unrestricted free agent in March before later releasing him from injured reserve with a settlement.

Gordon recently worked out for the Eagles, but did not receive an offer.

In 2014, Gordon appeared in five games for the Chiefs, but didn’t record a single statistic.

Henry, 22, originally signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Western Kentucky back in May. He was unable to make the Packers’ 53-man roster was later claimed off of waivers by the Broncos.

Henry has been active for two games this season, but has yet to record a single statistic.
