Adam Schefter reports that the Broncos are signing veteran Sย Shamarko Thomas to a contract on Monday.
- Mike Klis adds that the Broncos have also signedย LB A.J. Johnson.
This comes shortly after the news thatย Broncos S Jamal Carter is out for the season with a torn hamstring.
Thomas, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,613,152 rookie contractย with the Steelers and before signing on with the Jets last summer.
Unfortunately, New York elected to cut him loose coming out of the preseason and he eventually caught on with the Bills.
Thomas signed on with the Colts a month ago but was released following their first preseason game.
In 2017, Thomas appeared in 12 games and recorded nine tackles and no interceptions.
