Broncos Waive DL Jonathan Harris With Non-Football Injury Designation

Ryan O’Halloran of the Denver Post reports that the Broncos have waived DL Jonathan Harris with a non-football injury designation.

This could be to create a roster spot for OT Demar Dotson, who agreed to a one-year contract last night.

Harris, 24, signed on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Lindenwood back in May of last year. He was among Chicago’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and signed to their practice squad after passing through waivers unclaimed.

Harris was eventually promoted to the Bears’ active roster before being waived and later claimed by the Broncos last October.

In 2019, Harris appeared in five games for the Bears and Broncos and recorded eight tackles and no sacks.

During his four-year college career at Lindenwood, Harris appeared in 43 games and recorded 183 total tackles, 38.5 tackles for loss, 22 sacks, four forced fumbles, one interception, and one fumble recovery.
