Browns Close To A Long-Term Contract With D’Qwell Jackson?

Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that Browns MLB D’Qwell Jacksons’ agent  referred to their recent meeting as “very positive.”

“We’re working really hard on this and hopefully we can get something done,” agent Brian Mackler said. “We’re working hard on it every day.”

The Browns have been trying to lock up their middle linebacker in recent weeks but early reports mentioned that Jackson was looking for a lot more guaranteed money the Browns would be willing to offer a player that has the injury history that he does.

Jackson remains a candidate for the teams franchise tag despite this recent news.
