Browns HC Hue Jackson told reporters on Tuesday that LB Tank Carder, unfortunately, suffered an ACL injury that will require surgery and that will cost him the entire 2017 season, per Mary Kay Cabot.
You can expect the Browns to place Carder on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.
Carder, 28, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bills back in 2012. He lasted just a few months in Buffalo before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Browns.
Carder is currently in the final year of his two-year, $2.5 million contrac and set to make a base salary of $1.2 million for the 2017 season.
In 2016, Carder appeared in all 16 games for the Browns and recorded five tackles and no sacks.
