Browns Make Several Roster Moves Including Signing Three Players

The Cleveland Browns announced Wednesday that they’ve signed DE Lavar Edwards to their active roster. The Browns also signed OL Geoff Gray off of the Jets’ practice squad and WR Matt Hazel off the Colts’ practice squad.

Edwards, 27, is a former fifth-round pick of the Titans back in 2013. He was traded to the Cowboys a year later and would go on to spend just over a year in Dallas.

Since then, Edwards bounced around a bit, playing for the Raiders, Bears, Cowboys, Bills and Panthers before he was claimed off of waivers by the Colts late in the season last year.

Indianapolis waived him at the start of the 2017 season.

In 2016, Edwards has appeared in 10 games and recorded 11 tackles, two sacks, and a pass defense.
