Browns Place LB Christian Kirksey On Injured Reserve, Sign RB Elijah McGuire To PS

The Cleveland Browns announced Saturday that they’ve placed LB Christian Kirksey on injured reserve with a chest injury and re-signed RB Elijah McGuire to their practice squad.

Kirksey, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Browns back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $3.04 million contract when he agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $38 million and includes $20 million guaranteed.

Kirksey stands to make base salaries of $7 million and $7.75 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2019, Kirksey has appeared in two games and recorded 11 tackles for the Browns.
