Browns Place S Jordan Poyer On Injured Reserve With Lacerated Kidney, Promote DB Ed Reynolds

The Cleveland Browns announced Tuesday that they’ve officially placed S Jordan Poyer on injured reserve with a lacerated kidney and promoted DB Ed Reynolds to their active roster.

The expectation was that Poyer could very well be done for the year after he was transported to the hospital on Sunday.

Poyer, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Eagles back in 2013. He’s spent the past three years with the Browns and is in the final year of his four-year, $2.222 million contract.

In 2016, Poyer has appeared in six games and recorded 39 tackles, no interceptions and two pass defenses for the Browns.
