- The Browns also signed safety A.J. Howard to the practice squad.
Hereโs the Browns updated practice squad:

Cleveland was short-handed at safety after losing Morgan Burnett for the season with an Achilles injury.
Hassell, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Florida Tech back in April. He later agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Browns, but was waived coming out of the preseason.
The Browns later re-signed Hassell to their practice squad after clearing waivers.
During his two seasons at Florida Tech, Hassell recorded 183 tackles, 5.5 sacks, an interception, three forced fumbles, a recovery and 12 pass defenses over the course of 21 games.
