The Browns officially re-signed exclusive rights free agent RB Dontrell Hilliard to a one-year deal on Friday.
Hilliard, 25, wound up signing on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Tulane. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Browns but was waived coming out of the preseason and re-signed to their practice squad.
The Browns eventually promoted Hilliard to their active roster before placing him on injured reserve in December.
In 2019, Hilliard appeared in 14 games and recorded 13 rushing attempts for 49 yards (3.8 YPC) and two touchdowns to go along with 12 receptions for 92 yards receiving (7.7 YPC) and no touchdowns, while also gathering 421 kickoff return yards and 107 punt return yards.
