The Cleveland Browns announced Friday that they’ve signed OL Bryan Witzmann to a contract.
Witzmann, 28, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of South Dakota State back in 2014. He lasted just over a year in Houston before signing on to the Saints’ practice squad a few weeks into the 2015 season.
New Orleans elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract, but he was unfortunately waived a few weeks after the 2016 draft. Witzmann had a brief stint with the Cowboys before the Chiefs claimed off waivers.
The Chiefs signed Witzmann two-year, $990,000 contract in 2017 only to cut loose coming out of the preseason. He had a brief stint with the Vikings before joining the Bears last October.
In 2018, Witzmann appeared in all 16 games for the Bears.
