The Browns announced the signing of veteran QB Rex Grossman on Tuesday and that they have placed QB Tyler Thigpen on waivers.

Grossman, 33, worked out for the Miami Dolphins on Monday, according to numerous reports. He has been linked to the Browns as a speculative option for months now given that he has spent a number of years working with their new offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.
It’s been three years since Grossman last appeared in an NFL game.
