Browns Sign Tryout DBs Najee Murray & Donte Carey, Cut OL Josh Boutte

The Cleveland Browns announced Monday that they’ve signed tryout defensive backs Najee Murray and Donte Carey to contracts and placed OL Josh Boutte on waivers.

Carey wound up going undrafted out of Grand Valley State a few weeks ago before securing this tryout with the Browns.

During his four-year college recorded, 134 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, 20 pass defenses, two forced fumbles, two recoveries, and seven interceptions over the course of 53 games.

Murray actually began his college career at Ohio State before transferring to Kent State a year later. He wound up going undrafted a few weeks ago.

During his four-year college career, Murray recorded 103 tackles, two interceptions, 21 pass defenses, four fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.
