Vaughn McClure of ESPN reports that the Buccaneers are expected to have interest in veteran K Matt Bryant now that he’s been released by the Falcons.
This comes just a few hours after Bryant announced his release from the Falcons.
Bryant, 43, began his NFL career with the Giants back in 2002. He had stints with the Cowboys, Colts, Dolphins and Buccaneers before eventually signing on with the Falcons in 2009.
The Falcons re-signed Bryant last year to a three-year, $10.5 million contract and was set to make base salaries of $2.45 million and $2.15 million over the next two years when Atlanta released him.
In 2018, Bryant appeared in 13 games for the Falcons and converted 20 of 21 field goal attempts (95.2 percent) to go along with 33 of 35 extra point tries (94.3 percent).
