Buccaneers Shutting S Major Wright Done For Season

Rand Getlin of NFL Media reports that the Buccaneers are placing S Major Wright on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday.

Wright, 27, is in the first year of his  two-year, $3 million contract that included $1.25 million guaranteed. He’ll make a base salary of $1 million this season to go along with another $1.5 million in 2016.

This season, Wright appeared in nine games and recorded 25 tackles and four pass defenses for the Buccaneers. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 224 snaps this season to go along with a grade of -3.2.
