The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Tuesday that they’ve signed CBĀ David RiversĀ to their practice squad and released CBĀ Jonathan MoxeyĀ from the unit.
The Buccaneers’ practice squad now consists of:
- LB Riley Bullough
- RB Russell Hansbrough
- FB Austin JohnsonĀ (Exception)
- S Isaiah Johnson
- OL Mike Liedtke
- T Marquis Lucas (Injured)
- WR Freddie MartinoĀ (Exception)
- LB Eric Nzeocha (International)
- WR Bobo Wilson
- OT Justin Murray
- DT Channing Ward
- CBĀ David Rivers
Rivers signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Youngstown State back in May. Green Bay elected to waive him last with an injury designation to make room forĀ CBĀ Daquan Holmes.
The Packers later placed him on injured reserve after he passed through waivers unclaimed and he was eventually waived with a settlement. The same situation happened with the Jets a few months later.
During his two-year college career at Youngstown State, Rivers recorded 45 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, 13 pass defenses, and one forced fumble.
