The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed DE Sterling Bailey to their practice squad on Tuesday, according to Greg Auman.
The Buccaneers’ practice squad now consists of:
- LB Riley Bullough
- LB Eric Nzeocha (International)
- DT Channing Ward
- S Isaiah Johnson
- WR Jake Lampman
- OT Givens Price
- DB Reese Fleming
- DE Patrick Gamble
- RB Dare Ogunbowale
- OT Brad Seaton
- DE Sterling Bailey
Bailey, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia back in 2016. He was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason but was later signed to their practice squad.
Bailey had brief stints with the Seahawks and Vikings before signing on with the Buccaneers this past May. Unfortunately, Tampa Bay cut him loose as the start of the regular season. He spent a few weeks on their practice squad before he was released.
During his college career, Bailey recorded 107 tackles, 2.5 sacks, a fumble recovery and seven pass defenses.
