Buccaneers Waive DT Drew Iddings From IR With Settlement

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially waived DT Drew Iddings from injured reserve on Friday with an injury settlement.

Iddings, 25, originally signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of South Dakota back in 2016. He was unfortunately waived coming out of the preseason as the Raiders cut their roster down to 53 players.

Iddings had a brief stint with the Saints before signing on with the Panthers last summer. Carolina waived him with an injury designation and he spent the year on their injured reserve list.

Iddings returned to the Panthers on an exclusive rights contract this offseason but was waived a few weeks ago. The Buccaneers signed him to a contract a few days later before waiving him with an injury designation soon after.

During his four-year college career, Iddings recorded 149 tackles, 32 tackles for a loss, five pass defenses, four forced fumbles, two recoveries, and eight sacks over the course of 46 games.
