Buccaneers Waive TE Kivon Cartwright From I.R. & RB Russel Hansbrough From P.S.

According to Jenna Laine of ESPN, the Buccaneers have waived TE Kivon Cartwright from their injured reserve with an injury settlement.

  • Laine also writes that RB Russell Hansbrough was cut from the team’s practice squad today.

Cartwright, 24, originally signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State.

Unfortunately, Cartwright was waived/injured by Tampa Bay as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit.

Hansbrough, 22, signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Missouri. He signed on to Tampa Bay’s practice squad shortly after being one of their final roster cuts.

During his four-year college career, Hansbrough recorded 467 rushing attempts for 2,344 yards (5.0 YPC) and 15 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 30 receptions for 128  receiving yards (4.3 YPC).
