Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports is reporting that the Buccaneers waive/injured WR/KRÂ Trindon Holliday on Tuesday.
- Getlin adds that Holliday is expected to revert to the injured reserve list.
Tampa Bay signed Holliday to a contract close to two weeks ago to be their kick returner.
Holliday, 28, originally signed a one-year deal worth $700,000 with the Giants back in March, but he was placed on injured reserve over a month ago.
Holliday was an extremely productive kick returner since he signed with the Broncos two years ago. During this time, he’s totaled 1,327 kick return yards, 752 punt return yards and four touchdowns.
However, he’s had three fumbles and hasn’t been much of a contributor on offense outside of two receptions for 17 yards receiving. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 12 kick returner in the league last year.
