The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially ruled out WR Chris Godwin from Week 2 due to a concussion.
Godwin returned to Tampa Bay’s practice on Friday. However, he was facing a tight window to be cleared and return for Sunday’s game.
The Buccaneers promoted WR Cyril Grayson, CB Mazzi Wilkins, and TE Tanner Hudson to their active roster.
Godwin, 24, is a former third-round pick by the Buccaneers in the 2017 NFL Draft out of Penn State. He’s in the final year of his four-year, $3.2 million rookie contract.
So far this year, Godwin recorded six receptions in the season opener for 79 yards receiving (13.2 YPC) and no touchdowns.
