According to Ian Rapoport, Cardinals GM Steve Keim reached out to Alabama DT Quinnen Williams to tell him he’s still an option with the No. 1 overall pick.
Rapoport adds if the Cardinals have made a decision for the top pick, they’re keeping it quiet.
Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray has been the favorite for the Cardinals for months, while Ohio State DE Nick Bosa is another possibility.
Williams, 6-4, 289 lb, is widely considered to be one of the top prospects in the country and a likely top-5 overall pick in this year’s draft.
During his college career at Alabama, Williams recorded 91 tackles, 26 tackles for a loss, 10 sacks, and a pass defense over the course of two seasons and 24 games.
