Ian Rapoport reports that the Cardinals are hiring former Broncos DBs coach Marcus Robertson to the same position in Arizona.
Mike Klis reported earlier this week that Robertson was “drawing interest” from the Cardinals, so they were clearly impressed enough to quickly get a deal done.
Robertson, 49, is a former All-Pro safety with the Titans and Seahawks and retired in 2002. He began his coaching career in 2007 as an assistant defensive backs coach and was hired as their official DBs coach from 2009-20011.
He was hired by the Lions in 2013 as their secondaries coach after one season as an assistant and became the Raiders’ defensive backs coach in 2015-2016 after being an assistant the previous year in Oakland.
The Broncos hired him as their defensive backs coach in 2017.
