Ian Rapoport reports that the Cardinals are hosting Alabama DT Quinnen Williams and Ohio State DE/OLB Nick Bosa for pre-draft visits on Thursday.
While almost all of the talk regarding the Cardinals at No. 1 overall has centered around Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray, Rapoport says that Williams and Bosa are both in play for Arizona to open the draft.
Williams, 6-4, 289 lb, is widely considered to be one of the top prospects in the country and a likely top-5 overall pick in this year’s draft.
During his college career at Alabama, Williams recorded 91 tackles, 26 tackles for a loss, 10 sacks, and a pass defense over the course of two seasons and 24 games.
Bosa, 21, is a consensus top-5 talent in this year’s draft class and arguably the best of a great group of pass rusher prospects. Last year, Bosa suffered a core muscle injury that has kept him sidelined and he decided it was best to not risk further injury and sat out the remainder of the season.
During his college career at Ohio State, Bosa recorded 77 tackles, 29 tackles for a loss, 17.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two pass defenses and a defensive touchdown over the course of three seasons and 29 games.
