Cardinals Not Interested In Trading Haason Reddick, But Deone Bucannon Is Available

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media confirms that the Cardinals are open to trading LB/S Deone Bucannon, but adds that Arizona is not looking to move LB Haason Reddick, despite a recent report.

The Cardinals have been a popular team in trade rumors the past few weeks with other players such as David Johnson and Patrick Peterson being mentioned as possibly being available.

However, Cardinals GM Steve Keim and Steve Wilks have both downplayed the trade reports.

Bucannon is the one player who appears to have the best shot at being dealt. Although, it remains to be seen whether any team will be willing to take on his remaining salary and part with draft compensation.

Reddick, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2017. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $13.47 million contract that includes $13.47 million guaranteed and set to make base salaries of $752,644 and $1.69 million over the next two years of the agreement.

Reddick’s contract includes a fifth-year option for the team to pick up in 2020.

In 2018, Reddick has appeared in four games for the Cardinals and recorded seven tackles and a sack.

Bucannon, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $7,709,200 contract when the Cardinals picked up his fifth-year option last year.

Bucannon stands to make a base salary of $8.71 million for the 2018 season before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

In 2018, Bucannon has appeared in five games for the Cardinals and recorded 14 tackles, no interceptions and one forced fumble.
