The Arizona Cardinals announced that they have promoted CB Jace Whittaker and RB Jonathan Ward from their practice squad to active roster.

Whittaker, 25, signed on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent back in April out of Arizona. He was among their final roster cuts coming out of training camp and re-signed to the practice squad.
During his four-year college career, Whittaker recorded 158 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, one sack, seven interceptions, 34 pass defenses, and scored one defensive touchdown.
